I HAVE TRAINED educators AT…
Hi! I’m Crystal, but educators call me Dr. Laura.
I provide trainings to meet the specific professional development needs of conscientious teachers in urban settings, where issues of race, class, gender, language, sexuality, and culture are encountered daily. To put it simply, I teach educators how to do equity work. A dynamic approach paired with expert knowledge of urban education enable me to design teacher learning experiences that are relatable, context-specific, and packed with use-tomorrow strategies for immediate impact.

For the past several years, participants in my presentations have asked for post-workshop resources and greater access to my knowledge base throughout the school year. I am developing an online program to fulfill the growing need! Coming Fall 2019. Join my email list for updates.
And yes, lots of yoga. Teaching is hard, and no teacher can do well if she doesn’t feel well. Yoga keeps me grounded and balanced, providing the tools I need to work from the heart and experience each day mindfully. I want the same for you! Check out my Instagram for inspiration.
